These plates look great on the wall or on display in curio and china cabinets. They are not intended for use with food and are so marked. If you are considering using these or similar dishes as tableware, read our discussion on safety as it relates to china. WE ARE NO LONGER PURCHASING CHINA. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US TO SELL YOURS. These plates are 10 inches in diameter. Prices range from $40 to $75, depending on the bird. This series is unusual in that the images are based on Audubon's original watercolor paintings, now in the collection of the New-York Historical Society. The bird designs are exceptionally beautiful, the coloring more subtle and sophisticated than that used in the Adams and Meakin series. Each plate is rimmed with a leaf pattern in soft pastels with gold highlights. Contact us for additional information.
