Later Editions

Audubon's Octavo Birds
Later Editions (circa 1856-1871)

All prints guaranteed authentic. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity (COA) giving background on the series and specific print. Typical size 10-1/4 inches x 6-1/4 inches. In many cases the modern name of the birds and/or plants is different than on the plates. If you are looking for a particular bird and cannot match it, contact me and I’ll try to identify the correct plate for you.

Prints are listed in order of plate number and grouped by volume. To see scans of the specific print for sale, click the plate number/bird name. The scans provide a general idea of condition, but may be (unintentionally) misleading on certain issues such as paper tone. I can prepare a detailed condition report for any print that interests you. Please specify that the print is a LATER octavo edition, and give both plate number and bird name if you contact me for additional information or to order. Visit the ordering page for information about my guarantee, methods of payment, shipping, and other policies.

The photos that are on this page may include prints already sold. All prints for sale are listed with prices and have links to scans of the actual prints.
